Who is covered

The original purchaser of a new product bought on melrose-shoes.com, and anyone who received it as a gift from that purchaser, for household use in the United States.

What is covered and for how long

We warrant these products against defects in materials and workmanship under normal household use. Examples: a panel that cracks without an impact, a clip that breaks during normal assembly, a magnet that comes loose or stops holding the door, a rail that bends under less than its listed load.

What we will do

If a covered defect appears during the warranty period, we will, at no charge to you, send a replacement part. If a replacement part cannot fix the problem, we will replace the product, or if replacement is not possible, refund the price you paid for it. We pay all shipping costs for the replacement.

What is not covered

  • Normal wear and tear, including fine surface scratches from use.
  • Damage from accidents, drops, impacts, fire or water.
  • Stacking more than six shoe boxes in one column, loading beyond the limits listed on the product page, or climbing, sitting or standing on products.
  • Cloudiness, cracking or discoloration caused by ammonia, alcohol, acetone or solvent cleaners, or by prolonged direct sunlight or a nearby heat source.
  • Products that have been modified, drilled, glued or repaired by someone other than us.
  • Commercial or retail display use.
  • Products bought from anyone other than TAKON WIS LLC on melrose-shoes.com.

How to make a claim

  1. Email tarquinmoghan4@gmail.com with your order number, a short description of the problem and clear photos of the defect.
  2. We reply within 2 business days. We may ask for more photos, or ask you to send the defective part back with a prepaid label we provide.
  3. Once the defect is confirmed, we ship the remedy described above, normally within 1 to 3 business days.

You do not need the original receipt. We look up your order from your email address or order number.

Limits

ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE WARRANTY PERIOD ABOVE FOR THAT PRODUCT. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
