This policy explains what personal information TAKON WIS LLC collects when you visit melrose-shoes.com or buy from MELROSE, what we do with it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We do not sell your personal information.
1. Who is responsible for your information

2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order information: name, email address, shipping address, billing address, and phone number if you choose to give one, plus the products you order.
- Messages you send us, including return and warranty requests and any photos you attach.
- Label text, if you ask for printed labels.
- Your email address, if you sign up for our email list.
Payment information. Card details are entered directly with our payment processor, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe shares with us limited details such as card brand, last four digits, expiry date, billing postal code and fraud risk signals.
Information collected automatically. Like any website, our hosting provider receives technical data when you visit: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested and the date and time. This data is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and troubleshoot errors. Your cart is saved in your own browser's local storage and is not sent to us until you check out. See our Cookie Policy.
Information from others. Carriers send us delivery status updates. Stripe sends us payment and fraud check results.
We do not currently use analytics, advertising pixels or tracking tools on this website. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

4. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the store, and only what they need:
- Stripe (Stripe, Inc.): payment processing and fraud prevention.
- Vercel (Vercel Inc.): website hosting.
- Google (Google LLC): email for customer service, and the web fonts used on the site.
- Shipping carriers such as USPS, UPS and FedEx: delivery of your order.
- Fulfillment and manufacturing partners who pack and ship orders: name, shipping address, phone if given, and order contents.
We may also disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or to a buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized, under the same protections.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We do not disclose it to third parties for their own direct marketing.
5. How long we keep it
- Order, payment and tax records: 7 years after the order, for accounting and tax purposes.
- Customer service emails and warranty claims: 3 years after our last exchange.
- Email list: until you unsubscribe, then only a suppression record so we do not email you again.
- Hosting logs: a limited period set by our hosting provider for security and troubleshooting.
6. Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Payments go through Stripe, which is certified PCI DSS Level 1. Access to order data is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you of a data breach where the law requires it.
7. Marketing emails
We only send marketing emails if you asked for them. Every one includes a working unsubscribe link, and you can also email tarquinmoghan4@gmail.com. Order, shipping and service emails are sent even if you unsubscribe, since they relate to your purchase.
8. Your privacy rights
Depending on the state where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia, you may have the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and access a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate information;
- delete your information, subject to legal exceptions such as tax records;
- receive your information in a portable format;
- opt out of the sale of personal information, sharing for targeted advertising, and profiling (we do none of these);
- not be discriminated against for using these rights.
We honor these requests for every customer, whatever state you live in.
How to make a request. Email tarquinmoghan4@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy request", your name, the email used for your orders and what you are asking for. We verify your identity by matching the details with our records, and may ask for one more detail such as an order number. An authorized agent can make a request on your behalf with your signed permission. We respond within 45 days, and tell you if we need an extension allowed by law.
Appeals. If we decline your request, you can appeal by replying to our answer with the subject "Privacy appeal". We answer within 60 days. If you are not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.
Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of sale and sharing. Since we do not sell, share or track you across other websites, a Do Not Track signal does not change how the site works.
California "Shine the Light". We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
Nevada. We do not sell covered information as defined by Nevada law.
9. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be 18 or older to buy. If you believe a child has given us information, email tarquinmoghan4@gmail.com and we will delete it.
10. Visitors from outside the United States
We sell and ship only within the United States, and our business and service providers are located in the United States. If you visit from another country, your information is processed in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we process your information to perform a contract with you, to meet legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running and securing the store, or with your consent for marketing. You can access, correct, delete, restrict, object to or port your information, and complain to your local data protection authority. Transfers to our providers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and its UK and Swiss extensions where the provider is certified, or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
11. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top. If a change is significant, we will tell customers by email or with a notice on the site before it takes effect.
